Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 12, 2026
Inverse4D ("we," "us," "our") operates the inverse4d.com website and NFC-powered business card platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. What We Collect
When you use our platform, we may collect:
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, password (hashed), profile photo, banner image, bio, and niche/profession.
- Links and services: Social media URLs, service names, prices, and availability you add to your profile.
- Booking data: Client names, contact info, requested services, dates, times, and messages submitted through the booking feature.
- Tap and visit data: When someone taps your NFC card, scans your QR code, clicks your share link, or visits your profile directly, we record the source type, timestamp, general geographic area (city-level from IP address), and device type (iOS/Android).
- Link click data: Which links on your profile are clicked and how often.
- Device and browser info: IP address (hashed for privacy), browser type, and operating system. We use cookie-based and IP-hash fingerprinting to distinguish unique visitors from repeat visitors.
- Payment information (future): When we enable payment processing, transactions will be handled by Stripe. We will never store your full credit card number on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To create and display your public profile when someone taps your card or visits your link.
- To send booking notifications via email to both you and your clients.
- To provide analytics on your dashboard (tap counts, sources, device types, booking rates, peak hours).
- To identify unique vs. repeat visitors to your profile.
- To improve the platform and fix bugs.
- To send you important account-related emails (password resets, booking confirmations). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
3. What We Share
We do not sell your personal data. Period. We may share data only in these cases:
- Your public profile: The information you add to your profile (name, bio, links, services, banner, photo) is publicly visible to anyone who taps your card or visits your URL. This is the core function of the product.
- Booking requests: When a client books with you, their name, contact info, and message are shared with you via email and your dashboard.
- Service providers: We use Hostinger for web hosting and may use Stripe for payment processing. These providers have access to data only as needed to operate the service.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or court order.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and IP-hash fingerprinting to:
- Keep you logged into your dashboard.
- Track unique vs. repeat visitors to profiles (so you can see how many new people you're reaching).
- Identify the source of profile visits (NFC tap, QR scan, share link, or direct).
We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not run ads on the platform.
5. NFC Card Data
Your NFC card contains a single URL (inverse4d.com/t?id=) with your card's unique hardware identifier appended automatically by the chip (UID mirror). The card itself stores no personal data. All profile data is stored on our servers, not on the card. If your card is lost, your data remains secure — you can deactivate the card from your dashboard or contact us.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Tap analytics are retained indefinitely to provide historical data on your dashboard. If you delete your account, we will remove your profile, personal information, and booking history within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics (not linked to your identity) may be retained.
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data: View everything we store about you from your dashboard.
- Edit your data: Update your profile, links, services, and contact info at any time.
- Delete your account: Contact us at the email below and we'll delete your account and associated data within 30 days.
- Deactivate your card: If lost or stolen, contact us to deactivate the NFC tag so it no longer routes to your profile.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA including the right to know what data we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of data sales (we don't sell data).
8. Security
Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text). IP addresses are hashed before storage. The platform runs on HTTPS. We don't store full credit card numbers. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.
9. Children
Inverse4D is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the platform evolves (for example, when we add payment processing). We'll update the date at the top. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
